As an Imam, I don't believe in God!
As a child of the 90s, I have grown up in the UK observing other Muslims authors and such use the word God in the translations of the Quran as well as the Hadith, not forgetting to mention other works of various Islamic literature presented to the Muslim Ummah throughout the more then 3 decades of my lifetime. And to be honest, it was a precious word that meant a-lot to us. It was the word used as reference to mean our lord and creator Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'aala) whom we (hopefully) worship 5 times a day. It was a word through which we could converse with Christians and no-Muslims alike and exclaim with glee how we and they are the same and that we have a-lot in common. I have since quite a while, departed heavily from that narrative and position and work to disconnect that word attribution from mention of my lord and creator from the minds of the modern Muslims because this once precious word has become filthy and degraded.
